About this event

It’s back! Please join the ASID Texas Chapter San Antonio Design Community for The Business Side of Design "Spill the Tea,” a powerful business conference. The day will include:

  • Five IDCEC-approved CEUs that offer industry expertise and insight into today's most relevant business of design topics
  • A Vendor Showcase with products across a wide range of categories and applications
  • Discounted headshots by a local photographer ($80 per person to be paid directly on-site to photographer)

Continental breakfast & lunch will be served. Your day will conclude with hors d'oeuvres, drinks and lots of raffle fun and prizes at Happy Hour!

Parking: A few days before the event, registrants will receive an email from us through Eventbrite detailing how to secure free parking.

Schedule

  • 8:30 AM - 9:00 AM: Check-In, Continental Breakfast & Vendor Showcase
  • 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM: 2 hours of CEUs
  • 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM: Boxed Lunch & Vendor Showcase
  • 1:00 PM - 4:30 PM: 3 hours of CEUs
  • 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM: Happy Hour - Hors d'oeuvres & Cocktails, Raffles, Vendor Showcase, and San Antonio Designer's Choice Awards presentation for ASID Industry Partners!

Registration Information

  • You must register on Eventbrite to attend. Please be prepared to provide your ASID Member and IDCEC numbers (if applicable).
  • Early Bird registration ends at 5:00 PM CST on Tuesday, February 28, and all registration ends at 12:00 Noon CST on Friday, March 10. There is no registration at the door, and there are no refunds.
  • ASID Members (Designers/Educators/IP Reps): $50 (Early Bird) / $65
  • Non-Members: $75 (Early Bird) / $95
  • Students (both ASID Members & Non-Members): $20 (Early Bird) / $25

The American Society of Interior Designers [ASID] is a community of people – designers, industry representatives, educators and students – committed to interior design. Through education, knowledge sharing and advocacy, the Society strives to advance the interior design profession and, in the process, to demonstrate and celebrate the power of design to positively impact and change people’s lives. Of the Society’s 24,000 Practitioners, 20% practice Residential design, 30% practice Commercial design, and 50% practice both.The ASID Texas Chapter represents 1,700+ Practitioner, Educator, Student and Industry Representative members (almost 1,100 of which are Practitioners and/or Educators) throughout the state of Texas excluding the greater Houston area, which is covered by the ASID Texas Gulf Coast Chapter. Since the Texas Chapter is quite large both in membership and in geographic expanse, most of the programming throughout the year takes place in the Design Communities: Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, San Antonio, and West Texas. Our members work in both the residential and commercial fields, either as sole proprietors or as part of small or large firms. Within the state and around the world, they provide valuable services and useful products to their clients. Our members strive to improve the quality of life for all of their clients through the creation of aesthetically pleasing, thoughtful design that takes into account the health, safety and welfare of the public.
